Welcome to DC City Tours... where you can Travel with Ease!
The first time I ever visited Washington D.C. I didn’t know what to expect! I knew there were lots of places to see and things to do. My family and I had just came as a weekend trip not realizing that a family could stay for a week and still not experience all that D.C. had to offer. Nevertheless I picked up a downtown city map upon our arrival. As I looked at the map, it was shrunk down so small to fit everything onto a small page, it appeared every site in D.C. was within a block of each other. So with a man's attitude of wanting to conquer all the sites in just two days, I threw together a plan to walk to the closer sites and use the subway to get to the further ones.
Our first stop was the Capitol Building, after walking a half mile from the subway, we were told we needed tickets to get in but they were all taken for the day. After a half mile walk back to the subway we took the next stop to the National Mall and museum area. |
